Bernadette Harvey is one of Australia’s finest pianists and teachers, and for Musica Viva’s 2021 season she has brought together her cherished colleagues Lerida Delbridge and Miles Mullin-Chivers. The unearthly slow movement that gives Beethoven’s ‘Ghost’ Trio its name is just one of the concert’s highlights; Aaron Copland’s Prelude and a brand new Piano Trio by Australian composer Donald Hollier, commissioned by Musica Viva, complete this morning of chamber music: music to engage and delight the heart, the mind and the ear.
