China Australia Millennial Project Grand Finale is the culmination of 100 days of blood, sweat and innovation fuelled by the bright sparks of the future.

Friday 15 June is the finish line for 80 Australian and Chinese millennial entrepreneurs who have been on a fast, furious cross-border intensive collaboration sprint like no other. The group known as the China Australia Millennial Project (CAMP) visited China in April to see the world’s largest economy first hand. Then, in diverse teams of four, they’ve been tasked with developing commercial solutions to real-world problems posed by enterprise partners including Wesfarmers, David Jones, Alibaba Group, EY and platinum program partner, Macquarie University.

All 80 CAMPers will meet again as part of Vivid Ideas to pitch their business solutions before a panel of judges, venture capitalists and industry experts. The Grand Finale sees the three finalists battle it out to win seed funding to take their concept to market as well as a return trip to China/Australia in 2019. This is a high-stakes, high-speed pitching contest. Brilliant ideas, brilliant minds and smart investors make for a real life shark tank, all set in Vivid Sydney’s light display at The Concourse, Chatswood. And you’re invited!

  • Rub shoulders with business leaders, start-up founders and Australian government representatives.
  • Meet the top 80 young leaders you need to be watching in the China Australia relationship right now.
  • Find out why China is such an exciting market for Australian business ideas.
