BRAVURA! Grammy-nominated chief conductor and Artistic Director Dr Nicholas Milton AM leads the electrifying Willoughby Symphony through Zoltán Kodály’s energetic Galanta Dances. The individual stars of our orchestra are sure to shine in this dazzling showpiece of Hungarian flair and fire.

Bringing his own bravura to the stage will be multi award-winning Australian pianist Tony Lee as he joins the orchestra to perform Franz Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 2. This work is sure to astonish with its juxtaposition of profound poetry and thrilling virtuosity.

Nicholas Milton’s interpretations of the major Romantic orchestral repertoire have consistently been highlights of the Willoughby Symphony’s stellar concert programs, and this performance concludes with Brahms’ final symphony, a work of incredible and effortless complexities hidden within a gloriously pristine symphonic architecture, the pinnacle of a great man’s joys and anguish and a pillar of western art for all time.

Subscriptions of six, five or four concerts to the 2019 Willoughby Symphony Season are now available.
