Guitarra brings together arguably the world’s finest guitarists over a diverse selection of musical genres. Don’t miss your chance to see these masters of their craft in this year’s most unique guitar event.
Led by Paco Peña, described by Guitar Magazine as the ‘world’s greatest flamenco guitarist’, the show will comprise of four guitar acts set to leave audiences reeling in the wake of their technical skill and artistry.
Joining Paco will be Australia’s finest guitar duo, four-time ARIA nominees Slava and Leonard Grigoryan the Grigoryan Brothers. Leading jazz guitarist and former Sydney Symphony Orchestra soloist Jim Pennell will also be joining the performance, with the lineup rounded out by Chain Guitarist Phil Manning, described as the man who has ‘electric fingers on an acoustic guitar’ by Blues Deluxe.

Paco Pena embodies both authenticity and innovation in flamenco. As guitarist, composer, dramatist, producer and artistic mentor he has transformed perceptions of this archetypal Spanish art form.
In 1997 Paco was proud to be named the Oficial de la Cruz de la Orden del Merito Civil and in May 2012 was awarded the Gold Medal in the arts by the John F. Kennedy Centre for the performing Arts in Washington. These honours were both bestowed by King Juan Carlos of Spain.
Regarded as one of Australia’s finest musical duos The Grigoryan Brothers, Salva and Leonard, are musical chameleons with skills reaching throughout the realms of Latin, jazz, folk and contemporary genres.
Despite having great success in their solo ventures, Salva is also a part of internationally acclaimed guitar duo ‘MGT’ and Leonard is a composter and performer in contemporary ensemble ‘Magnolia’, together they create works that are unique and powerful, thus far releasing six studio albums the latest of which is titled ‘This Time’.

With a diverse range of accolades and experiences, Jim appeared for 7 months as a key musician in the 2014 production of Baz Luhrman’s ‘Strictly Ballroom’, was a featured soloist with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in 2011 and has played for audiences worldwide.
Phil Manning is a leader and pioneer in Australian blues music. At the forefront of the genre since the 60s, Phil is a founding member of the iconic band ‘Chain’, the only blues act to ever have an Australian number one with ‘Black’n’Blue’. Their 1971 album ‘Toward the Blues’ went double gold.
