Literary lovers are invited to attend the Sydney Writers’ Festival on The Concourse from 22 – 28 May, featuring an exciting line-up of author talks.

Liane Moriarty: Truly Madly Guilty
6.30pm, Tuesday 23 May
Concourse Theatre

Sam Armytage and Liane discuss Truly Madly Guilty, a thrilling tale of marriage, sex, parenthood and friendship set on the North Shore – the location for many of Liane’s books including Big Little Lies, which was recently adapted into an HBO series starring Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon.

David Hunt: True Girt

In the side-splitting sequel to Girt, satirist David Hunt takes us to the Australian frontier with a cast of characters including the hard-drinking Tasmanian governor Thomas Davey; Infamous LGBTI bushranger Captain Moonlite; and Harry, the camel that shot dead the explorer John Horrocks.

Stephen Dando-Collins: The Hero Maker: A Biography of Paul Brickhill
6.30pm, Thursday 25 May
Chatswood Library on the Concourse

Award-winning historical author Stephen Dando-Collins exposes the contradictions of one of Australia’s most successful, but troubled, writers – Paul Brickhill. The author of The Great Escape struggled with alcohol and writer’s block, as his success – and all that accompanied it – threatened to overwhelm him.
